Darksyn 266
For some time now, I've bounced around the idea of a story in the 40k universe with omo elements, and after some consideration, I decided to give this a whirl! This thread will be about the trials and tribulations of a Heretic in service to the Chaos Gods, One of a pair of characters will be the PoV focus, as the pair are working together on a Compact, a mission for the Dark Gods. Player choice will influence the PoV character's actions, and I will manage the actions of the other. I will be running this using a modified version of the Warhammer 40k Tabletop RPG system, the changes being - 1. Alignment is determined by player action, not EXP spent, 2. Combat will be greatly simplified into rolls with penalties managed by myself instead of the rulebook. This leaves archetypes, skills and talents a bit more flexible... And our 'Heroes' a lot less likely to be pounded into sausage filling in a fight. I have one more thing to cover before the two characters are listed - The duo is one Chaos Space Marine, and one normal human. The Space Marine will not be having any accidents, of course... Though he may be terrifying enough to cause them in others! Our human character will have the opportunity to have accidents whether we are in her PoV or not, and I will keep track of the time passing in-narrative to support it. NPC omo-content will be dependent on actions, of course. Chaos Space Marine - Victor Archetypes: Champion - A warrior and commander, leader by fear or devotion. Chosen - Consummate Soldier and hard bitten veteran. Forsaken - An outcast from his former allegiance, Previously a lone wanderer. Sorcerer - A Chaos Space Marine that has mastered the art of the Psyker. Human - Aurelia Holt Archetypes: Apostate - An infiltrator and silver-tongued serpent, a powerful leader of the masses. Renegade - A warrior who survives on skill at arms rather than brute force. Heretek - Initiated into the mysteries of technology, a rebel from the Adeptus Mechanicus. Psyker - An un-sanctioned and chaos-turned Psyker, extremely powerful and infused by the Warp. Please vote for both a Character and one of the listed archetypes. Once the vote has been called, we will be sorting out gear, I will write out backstory based on the choices used, and we will determine gear, stats, and I will write out appearances for both members of our party. I would also like to have a vote on whether this should contain just omorashi, or omorashi and messing content, please let me know in your vote posts. blooper 611
I'll vote for Aurelia, for wetting and messing, and for Psyker because I loooove Psykers. Also the entire terrors of the warp table is a fear wetting waiting to happen. Quote Link to comment

Darksyn 266
Perils of the Warp will be quite fun to roll on. For the sake of story I won't let Aurelia get possessed through it, or eaten by the Warp. All the other weird, wacky and dangerous nonsense is fair game. Edit: Though, I'm not calling votes quite yet, Renegade might have a chance, or another class if more people jump on. Edited July 7, 2016 by Darksyn (see edit history) Quote Link to comment
blooper 611
Yeah some of the perils are actually really terrible. Lots are fear effects and some are even area fear effects though. Its great for lewd warhammer 40k games w. Quote Link to comment
Darksyn 266
Okay, six for both wetting and messing... And four for Psyker, one for Renegade. I'll write up the backstory and character descriptions in a few hours, and roll up Aurelia and Victor's stats, as well as list their current gear and list any possible acquisitions Aurelia will have before the Compact starts properly. Darksyn 266
A note ahead of time about skills and talents! Due to the complexity of the system provided straight from the rulebooks, and for narrative flexibility, I will not be writing a number of them down. (So if anybody questions why Victor doesn't have, say, Common Lore (War) listed, it's because of the skill being a no-brainer for a warrior of thousands of years. ;P) With that dealt with... Victor (Chaos Space Marine - Chosen Archetype) Statistics (Bonus for stat tests are the number in the tens column) Wounds (HP) 20/20 Ballistic Skill: 37 Weapon Skill: 45 Strength: 37 Toughness: 42 Perception: 44 Agility: 36 Willpower: 40 Intelligence: 42 Fellowship (Charisma, appearance, etc): 44 Infamy: 21 Corruption: 0 Skills Athletics, Awareness, Dodge (+10), Parry, Intimidate, Talents Ambidextrous, Bulging Biceps, Heightened Senses (Hearing, Sight), Nerves of Steel, Quick Draw, Resistance (Cold, Heat, Poisons), Unarmed Warrior, Lightning Reflexes, Rapid Reload, Disarm, Sure Strike Traits Amphibious, Unnatural Strength (+4), Unnatural Toughness (+4). Gear Legion Bolt Pistol, Legion Power Armour, Legion Combat Knife, Legion Chainsword Special Ability: Cold Killer (Upon dealing Zealous Hatred, a damage roll of 10 on a d10, I will choose between two rolled crit results.) Appearance: Victor, as with all Space Marines, Loyalist or Heretic, is quite tall - Standing at 7ft, 5in. Combined with his dark blue armor with gold trim and detailing and lightning bolt motif, he is a terrifying thing to behold. Under his horned helmet lies a scarred, sharp featured gray-white head, bereft of any hair or stubble at all, growth long stopped by exposure to the Warp. Blood red eyes and a grin of sharpened teeth are the last thing many a warrior has seen. Victor scarcely removes his armor, most mortal needs dealt with by corruption and genetic engineering. Upon a rack fastened to the tainted fusion powerplant of his armor rest a rack of various skulls, each from a different sentient species from across the Galaxy. (Now working on Aurelia's post, please stand by... Please, do let me what you all think of Aurelia's companion/bodyguard!) Edit: Work on Aurelia may take longer than I first thought, headache creeping in. I'll try to have it done by later tonight. Edited July 8, 2016 by Darksyn (see edit history) Quote Link to comment
ExplosiveTurtlez 232
Looking good so far :3c Confusing as hell... but I'll probably figure it out if I can just stop being a total dumbass. Quote Link to comment
Darksyn 266
The 40k tabletop RPG system is a little obtuse for people not familiar with it. What matters most in the end will be the decisions the players make. Headache dealt with (About time, >.<), and so I will be working on Aurelia next, please wait warmly~ Quote Link to comment
Darksyn 266
Aurelia Holt (Human Psyker) Statistics Wounds 9/9 (HP) Ballistic Skill: 35 Weapon Skill: 35 Strength: 33 Toughness: 34 Perception: 37 Agility: 45 Intelligence: 42 Willpower: 47 Fellowship: 41 Infamy: 23 Corruption: 4 Skills Common Lore (Imperium), Common Lore (Imperial Cult), Trade (Armoursmith), Awareness, Psyniscience, Forbidden Lore (Psykers), Deceive, Dodge Talents Psy Rating 3, Jaded, Weapon Training (Primitive - Swords and staves for example), Weapon Training (Las), Warp Sense (Psyniscience tests are free actions) Traits Psyker, The Quick and the Dead (+2 to all initiative rolls) Gear Laspistol, Good-quality Sword, Flak Cloak (Bulletproof fabric!), Psy Focus (Necklace, purple stone resembling a lizard's eye.), dataslate filled with arcane lore. Special Ability: Chaos Psyker (Starts with corruption points, Psy Rating 3, when determining psychic strength, counts as Unbound. Psychic Powers: Doombolt: Fires dark bolts of Chaotic energy at a target or targets. Focus Difficulty (+0), Range = 20m x Psy Rating, Psychic Barrage, 1d10+ Psy Rating energy damage, Pen 8. Precognition: Glimpse the near future, allowing the user to more easily evade attacks. Focus difficulty (+10 Psyniscience test, positive numbers mean easier tests.), Sustained as a free action. 2x Psy Rating bonus added to evasion tests so long as it is active. Precognitive Dodge: When called to take an evasion test, may choose to take a Psyniscience roll at -10. If the roll succeeds, the Psyker dodges the attack as if it was not aimed at them at all. Appearance: Aurelia Holt is relatively unassuming. By the standards of the Imperium, she is a rather average, if slightly petite girl, standing at 5ft, 4in. Long, ash blonde hair trails down her shoulders to the small of her back, with a few locks up front braided and beaded with dark colours, hanging over her collarbones. Tired purple eyes are perhaps her only stand-out feature, as her figure is unremarkable - A modest bust, some curves, and a toned bottom. Right now, Aurelia is dressed in work clothes (Off-white button-up shirt, oil-stained slacks and steel-toe boots) huddled underneath her flak cloak. Darksyn 266
I will gladly re-post our appearance, as well as update it, as we continue throughout the thread. Backstory for Aurelia will be delved into in the first story post, and she will need to inquire with Victor for his own. I'll work on the story post in a handful of hours. Quote Link to comment

Darksyn 266
The Dark Gods (and I, the GM) are masters of trolling their subjects, so it should prove quite entertaining. :P Quote Link to comment
Darksyn 266
Aurelia's Psychic powers have been added to her page, I will take a break and then commence writing. General actions and rolls, as well as combat, will be primarily managed by myself, though I will allow player input if unique opportunities present themselves in a fight. Out of combat, I will be asking the thread what actions Aurelia should undertake over a period of time. I will be keeping a close eye on time passed in her actions... Warp effects and fear, or recaf/coffee notwithstanding, Aurelia will have an average holding ability, and will need to go after realistic time periods. As a side-note before I run off to writer-land, any fanart is appreciated, should anybody be inclined to draw any. See you all shortly, and remember... SANITY IS FOR THE WEAK! Edit: I will be attempting the test and combat system as it has been described so far, but if the rules get in the way, I will switch the story to a primarily narrative style. Meaning that all of my rolling and stat-building was mostly for naught, if it comes to it. >.< Edited July 8, 2016 by Darksyn (see edit history) Quote Link to comment
Darksyn 266
Aurelia kicked her legs, sitting on a tree stump as her new... Companion... Chopped firewood as if it were toothpicks. The duo had been sent, at no small cost in resources, apparently, to bring a world relatively close to the Calixis Sector into the fold of Chaos, by any means. "Numerous cults await your command, Holt." The silky-voiced, though unseen sorcerer had explained as they had been in transit. "Report progress regularly via the usual channels... Do NOT disappoint me." The psyker shook her head, the residue of the telepathic conversation clearing away from her mind like unwanted cobwebs. So now she sat, in the middle of the woods with a man more than ten times her age and three times her size chopping wood for a fire. "At least it's camping season on this world." Victor noted drily, "Or else you would go cold." His voice was deep, commanding... But surprisingly gentle for a Chaos Space Marine. "You aren't what I expected of a Chaos Marine." Aurelia blurted, prompting a booming laugh. "I like to think I have far better grip of my sanity, or what remains of it, compared to my usual counterparts. Much can be gained when you bother to leave diplomacy an open option, rather than wholesale slaughter. Not that the latter isn't useful. I digress, however - The first of the cults your dataslate mentioned should be nearby. We're a few klicks from that town... Three Roads. Quite the droll name." Aurelia dusted her bottom off as she stood up from the stump. "I might as well survey the area while you make camp. I should be back by nightfall." Victor nodded once, and returned to his work as Aurelia left the clearing. What will Aurelia do first? 1.) Acquire a map in Three Roads - Your 'master' dropped you here with very little notice, and no supplies. 2.) One of the roads leading from the dully named settlement runs nearby, there are likely other campers. Meet and Greet, attempt to learn more about the surrounding area and perhaps locate a nearby general store. 3) Steal a form of transportation. Your 'Master' indicated that Three Roads would be a considerable walk away, and time spent now acquiring a set of wheels may pay dividends over your stay here. 4) Write-in Option: Suggest your own course of action. (Note, Aurelia has left all but her laspistol and psy-focus behind at camp to better blend in with the locals.) MaverickJsmith and ExplosiveTurtlez 2 Quote Link to comment
