Desperation or wetting in long exams

Recommended Posts

When I was in school and doing my SATs, I used to drink fizzy, flavored water. During one of the exams, I drank a little too much water and needed to go pee. I put my hand up to ask if I could go, but I was told that no I couldn't go until there was a break. The SAT exam was about two and a half hours long with fifteen minute breaks in between. When the break came, I was allowed to go to the toilet, but I wasn't the first one in there and all the stalls were occupied. I was so desperate, when one of the stalls became available I darted in there and tried to undo my trousers. Unfortunately, my bladder was so distended that I had to breathe in to get them undone and ended up leaking into my panties and trousers. I had a right go at the teacher who didn't let me go to the toilet before.

And even then, the ones who do end up needing to go are liable to just go to the bathroom rather than have an accident, because most people aren't omo enthusiasts and will stop giving a shit regardless of rules in place.

You don't have to be an omo enthusiast to not want to fail an exam. I'm not into wetting myself (only seeing other people do it) but I wouldn't walk out of an exam if it meant I'd fail.

But you would also fail if you pissed yourself. Getting banned from the premises or arrested counts as failing.

That escalated quickly....

Back when I was attending senior school, if a student did wet themselves in an exam, they wouldn't be banned from the premises or arrested. This is just conjecture and second-hand hearing, but, after one exam which, sadly, I wasn't sitting as it wasn't the field I'd chosen, there were rumors floating around the school that someone had actually done just that in and exam. They'd, apparently, wet themselves. According to the rumor, it was a female student, hence why I was a little upset I wasn't sitting that exam. All that happened to her, aside from the total embarrassment of being a Year 11 student (around 15-16 years old, don't know what that is in continental systems) who'd just wet themselves, all they were told to do was re-sit the exam at a later date as they'd missed the majority of it due to clean-up. Being banned or outright failing for lack of oversight is far too cruel. We're all human, at the end of the day, and we all make mistakes.

This is not always the case. I know of a few places where being asked to leave is actually commonplace procedure in such an event.

But this is not the topic here. The topic here is whether the mistakes in question are common, which unfortunately, they are not. Exceedingly rare, in fact.

I haven't heard of such a thing, nor has it actually happened to me, but it seems to be a common omorashi scenario in fiction.

Well that's because it's a fantastic scenario when you break it down. :) Defined space, defined time, limited options.

That said it isn't particularly likely, but then all scenarios aren't particularly likely it's just with enough people and enough time these things happen. I personally wouldn't have left an exam if I'd been told I wasn't allowed, no matter what. However I've never taken a long exam in either High School or Uni that people weren't allowed to go pee during. And since I knew I wouldn't just get up and walk out I always went to the bathroom beforehand, usually like three times, because, you know, exam nerves.

But... 1000 people with a personality like mine. A rare exam where the supervisor prohibits bathroom breaks. No toilet break before the exam because of running late or forgetting with late minute study... it'll happen to someone at some point. Just not often.

This girl wore protection to all of her exams, in HS and University. It was back when I had some bladder problems and I took my exams seriously enough that I didn't want to be popping up and going to the loo every 45 minutes, and also raising eyebrows. I had some leaks during exams and on a few occasions intentionally wet the protection I was wearing (a Goodnite if the exam was 2 hours or shorter, and something more absorbent for my three hour university philosophy exams).

I also had a couple of close calls without proper protections (pads only), and a few small leaks back when I was in HS.

In HS I was always permitted to us the bathroom if I needed to (even if it was barred to other people) as the school and teachers knew about my situation (and I was a good student and didn't abuse my 'privileges'). But  getting up three times in a 2 hour exam is a huge time suck, and not to mention a distraction.

I should do an experience write up on this...

A friend of mine intentionally wet herself during a final exam. She just kept on taking it like nothing happened. The others who noticed and laughed just put themselves at a disadvantage.

Do you have any more on this? Why she did it, or the reactions at the end when she walked out?

The nearest I got to witnessing something was a mock A level exam. The girl in front after 45 mins was very fidgety. Soon she was wiggling her legs side to side and really couldn't sit still but she ploughed on. Her hand was quite often under the desk. I can't remember if she put her hand up or the invigilator saw the commotion and went to her. She left for a pee break in tears and returned a few minutes later. Whether she made it or not I don't know. I'd like to think there was a little leakage. A lot of her friends were concerned for her on the way out.

The only other story happened in a friends class. They were having a test and one girl (normally misbehaves a bit) apparently had a puddle on her stool and a wet ass when they left classroom. This was with one of the softest teachers in the year but he had denied her to leave when she asked.

What a crock of sh*t (pardon my French).

You can't just ban somebody from using the restroom for 2.5 hours. There's just no reason — ever.

If I was taking a life-changing exam and I wasn't permitted to go to the restroom, I'd just say, "I'm going to tell you what: If you won't let me go to the restroom, like a normal human being with human rights, I'm just going to go right here and continue with my exam. Your problem, not mine."

And I'd like to see them try to arrest me for doing just that. I'd kick some serious ass. Sue them all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

Its not even remotely common, but I imagine there's people with this fetish who like to imagine otherwise

The thing is, the vast VAST majority of people have common sense and foresight and use the washroom before anything they do that will take an amount of time, so the amount of people would be very miniscule

And even then, the ones who do end up needing to go are liable to just go to the bathroom rather than have an accident, because most people aren't omo enthusiasts and will stop giving a shit regardless of rules in place.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

This is it, in a nutshell, for me. I've been in exams, not necessarily particularly long ones, where people have been visibly desperate by the end. I don't think it was even remotely likely that they'd leave a puddle in their chair though - apart from the fact that there's a big difference between 'desperate' and actually having an accident, I'm sure that they would make a run for it and stuff the rules if it was that bad. I don't think I've ever been in an exam where there was absolutely no possibility of a pee break either though - I'm sure that it's something that they've thought of!

I'm sure that it does happen, and I'm sure that not every exam is exactly how I've experienced them, but I'm equally sure that omo-accidents aren't exactly a common thing either!

Yes, would love to hear of your experiences of wearing and wetting a nappy in exams!

You guys are so lucky to witness these things! I actually had a period-long math test today(about an hour and 45 minutes at my school), but nothing happened, to me or anyone else. I was drinking a lot of water and emptied my full water bottle that period, but I was glad I didn't have to use the bathroom because that teacher thinks I'm not serious enough in her class and probably would've denied me.

In summary, it just happened to be the best option given the conditions. She didn't tell me how others reacted at the end, but at that university, exams are "leave when you call it done" so there probably weren't very many others leaving at around the same time.

This actually happened in Turkey a few years ago. I saw the news on a newspaper! It was one of the country-wide exams where you have to pass it to become an officer (public employee), so it is an important exam. A 36 years old woman really had to pee and did not want to fail the exam (obviously yo aren't allowed to go). She says she couldn't hold any longer and just peed her pants. She just tells the whole story in an interview in front of the camera. I could even put the video link here but its just her talking in Turkish so it would not make any sense.

I remember getting really turned on when I first saw it on the news.

Honestly, 3 hours it's not hard to hold your bladder. And comments sense kicks in and people realize that they won't be able to go for a while and then go. And for those people with tiny bladders arw aware of that and again common sense dictates and they don't drink a lot of liquids beforehand. School accidents are pretty rare in general. I've seen it happen once and I went to a big school.

I've seen a desperation incident and been in the situation myself. No wetting involved, no physical holding with hands either. Just fidgety. (I believe my friend (K) and I were both in the situation in th same week! Probably even two exams for the same subject.

I used to drink water in my exams, especially if they were long (this one was 2.5 hours, but closer to 3 including the getting people in, letting them out, collecting papers etc) or I used to struggle to stay awake. I got desperate and a it fidgety and hadn't really been keeping an eye on the time. I looked at the clock and realised there was only a half hour left of the exam, so I could probably go in 45 minutes or so, and knowing I could hold it perfectly fine powered through. I was planning on going straight after, but my teacher for my next lesson was outside the exam hall while we were collecting our bags. She disappeared up the stairs to our classroom and decided I should go ask her permission to leave first, since we were now in her time... She said yes. As I was walking out the room I heard another student protesting about why I was allowed to go and he wasn't, and her replying with because I'd had an exam all through my lunch break, and he had only had his lunch break half an hour ago and was stupid enough to not use it!

My friend (K) put her hand up and asked for permission to leave in hers. (We've always been taught you're not allowed to leave exam halfs during an exam) this one was shorter, 1.5/2 hrs, can't remember. She was told to ask again only if it became really urgent, since they would have to get someone else to walk her there and back (staff toilet) so they could ensure she wasn't cheating, and there was only one invidulator in this exam.

My biggest problem with doing exams especially long ones wasn't so much as getting desperate, it was that I "leaked" until I had soaked my underwear . During high school I started wearing incontinence pants and a super size pad . Then if I needed to go I would purposely wet my pad to take away the urgency, that way I knew I could get through the whole thing without a puddle under my chair and avoid making a complete fool of myself

I had many close calls cause by being tied up for an exam. Teachers never wanted to let anybody go.  During long exams the urge would build and sometimes would get near desperation. Never  had an accident in class though.
